This is our original caramel recipe used for making our famous Daffy Apple caramel apples.  It is extremely easy to make your own caramel apples using our 55 year old recipe.  The caramel comes in a container that makes preparation easy compared to heating a can or making your own caramel.

Daffy Apple caramel remains soft and tacky at room temperature.  If you are planning on making a plain caramel apple, please keep in mind that the caramel will never completely harden and we do not recommend placing plain caramel apples in any sort of packaging.

The 20 oz. container of Daffy Apple caramel covers about 15 apples.  This depends on how much caramel you spin off of the apple and the size of the apple you use.  We use apples that have a net weight of about 3 oz. and are about the size of a baseball.  These are typically found in the bagged apple section of the grocery produce section.  The caramel comes in a microwavable container that makes preparation easy!

Case of two 20 oz. tubs of Daffy Apple caramel covers about 12 to 15 apples.  This depends on how much caramel you spin off of the apple and the size of the apple you use.  We use apples that have a net weight of about 3 oz. and are about the size of a baseball.  These are typically found in the bagged apple section of the grocery produce section.  The caramel comes in a microwavable container that makes preparation easy!

The 5 gallon bucket of Daffy Apple caramel is ideal for food-service operations or commercial kitchens.  The 5 gallon bucket must be placed in a hot water bath in order to scoop out smaller portions of caramel. This bucket is not intended for home-use or small shops.  The 5 gallon bucket covers approximately 600 apples.  The number may vary depending the size of apple and on how much caramel is spun or scraped off of the apple.  Daffy Apple uses apples that have a net weight of about 3 oz. and are about the size of a baseball.  These are typically found in the bagged apple section of the grocery produce section.  This container is not microwave-safe.
