Daffy Apple Caramel Apples are a great and unique idea for wedding favors!  For fall weddings, you can start placing your order mid-July.  We generally start producing caramel apples the last week of August, depending on apple harvest times.  We begin shipping caramel apples on September 15th for fall wedding favors and continue through early May.  We generally do not ship for summer weddings unless the order is for 30 or more cases (720+ apples). We recommend placing your order online 3-4 weeks prior to your wedding date.  A debit/credit card is required to place your order and it will be charged when the order is placed.  Be sure to indicate your wedding date in the Order Notes (located at the bottom of the Shopping Cart) when placing your order.  To ensure freshness, we will not ship your order right away.  The caramel apples are made the day before shipment and we schedule your order to arrive approximately 3 days before your big day.  This allows plenty of time for preparation before the wedding while still maintaining freshness.  We determine the best ship date for your order based on your location and wedding date. The apples are sold in cases of 12 or 24 and are as priced on our web site when you place your order.  This pricing is by the case and is bulk pricing.  If you are placing an order for 30 or more cases, please contact us for alternate or discounted shipping. The apples have a 2-week shelf life when stored between 55–60 degrees. If you would like to try the apples before you place a large order, there are two sample packs available:  Traditional Caramel Apple Sample Pack or Gourmet Caramel Apple Sample Pack.  Both sample packs contain a total of 6 apples.  Due to the heat, we do not ship Caramel Apples over the summer months.  Caramel Apple shipments will resume around September 15th (may vary due to temperatures).  NEW! Daffy Pop Caramel Clusters Sample Pack Packaging and Shipping:  The caramel apples are shipped in our clear plastic packaging with Daffy Apple labels.  This helps to protect the product during shipment.  Most wedding customers plan to repackage the apples to match the colors and themes of their wedding.  If you plan on repackaging the apples in cellophane bags, clear caramel apple boxes, or other packaging, we recommend ordering the 3-pack apples.  The price is the same and then you only have to open 8 packages of apples per case instead of 24 individually packaged apples. Plain Caramel Apples:  We do not have the ability to make and deliver plain caramel apples.  Daffy Apple caramel is soft at room temperature - easy to chew, but a mess in packaging!  The caramel sticks to any type of packaging or wrap, so we always make our caramel apples with a topping.  If you would like a plain caramel apple, try one of Daffy Apple's Caramel Apple Kits or Bulk Caramel. Size:  Our caramel apples are a nice single serving apple.  The apples have a net minimum weight of 3 ounces and are generally about 2¼ to 2½ inches in diameter.  The caramel apples are labeled as such according to USDA regulations.  Placing Your Order:  Create a Daffy Apple account if you haven't already.  Once you have created an account, click on either the Caramel Apple or Wedding Favors tab under the Buy Online section.  Add all of the items to your shopping cart and be sure to indicate the wedding or event date in the Order Notes (located at the bottom of the Shopping Cart page) - remember to "Update Cart"!  We recommend placing your order 3-4 weeks in advance, however, if you need more time for incoming RSVP's, etc. please take note of the Ordering Deadline chart at the top of the Caramel Apple and Wedding Favors page.  DO NOT expect arrival more than 4 days prior to the wedding!!!  We cannot guarantee a specific shipping arrival date, just that the apples will arrive approximately 2 days before your event (and normally sooner!). Attention All Customers:  Due to the heat, Daffy Apple Caramel Apples are NOT shipped during the summer months (5/6-9/15).  If your order is for a specific event date, the event date must be included in the Order Notes section of the Shopping Cart. If you would like to taste Daffy Apple Caramel before placing a large Caramel Apple order, the Bulk Caramel or Red Candy and Caramel Apple Kits can be shipped year-round. Daffy Apple is now taking orders for Fall 2010! Ordering for a 9/17, 9/18, or 9/19 Event Unfortunately, we will be unable to take orders for events the weekend of September 18th until the first week of September.  The ability to ship for an order that weekend is largely dependent on the weather and shipping location.  Do NOT place your order online.  If an order is placed online and must be canceled because the order will not arrive in time, a Cancellation Fee will be subtracted from the refund amount.
