The apples have a two week shelf life when stored between 55 – 60 degrees. We typically send them out to arrive 4 days prior to a wedding date. This allows plenty of time before the wedding while still maintaining freshness. We start production around the last week of August, depending on harvest times and end production on November 30th of each year. We will start shipping apples about mid September for wedding favors. You must order apples two weeks in advance.
We do not ship apples prior to September 15th due to heat.
We will ship caramel apples through November 30th this year.
The apples have a two week shelf life so do not order and schedule to arrive more than 4 days in advance of the event. If you plan on repackaging the apples in cellophane or something, we recommend requesting the 3-pack apples in the notes section of the order page. The price is the same but you don’t have to un-package each of the apples as you would do when ordering the singles. We do not have the ability to make and deliver plain caramel apples without any coating. Because the caramel is very sticky, it would get stuck to the plastic packaging and make a horrible mess during packaging and delivery. The pricing on the web site is the bulk rate for the apples and are sold by the case of 24 apples. There is no other bulk rate and the price is the same for 24 apples or 10,000 apples. Because we have a fully automated production process, the apples cannot be packaged in cellophane or other custom packaging. However, it will not hurt the product if the end-user wants to repackage them into other packaging. The apples have a net minimum weight of 3 ounces and are labeled as such according to USDA regulations. We do not sell the apples with a diameter specification because the apples do vary in size. To order, simply fill out the order form on the online store at http://www.daffyapple.com/c-2-caramelapples.aspx 2 weeks prior to your delivery date. In the notes section, please indicate the apples are for a wedding and the date of the event. Again, we recommend 4 days prior to the wedding. DO NOT order for arrival more than 6 days prior to the wedding!!! If you want expedited shipping like 2 day service, please call for rates. You need to tell us the DATE OF THE EVENT and you must specify the apples are for a wedding!!! Please indicate the date in the Order Notes at the bottom of the shopping cart page.
