When should I place my Caramel Apple order?
Daffy Apple starts taking Petite Caramel Apple orders for Fall events at the end of July or beginning of August.  Daffy Apple will not start shipping Petite Caramel Apple orders until September 17th or later.  Shipping dates will vary due to temperatures.  Caramel Apples are heat and humidity sensitive.  It is not recommended that they are shipped to a high-humidity location or where temperatures are above 85ºF.  If a caramel apple order is placed online with a ship to location where temperatures are above 85ºF and must be canceled due to the heat, a 4.5% Cancellation Fee will be subtracted from the refund amount.

Daffy Apple recommends placing Petite Caramel Apple orders about 3-4 weeks prior to the event date. IMPORTANT - Check the Caramel Apple Ordering Deadline prior to placing a Petite Caramel Apple order.  If ordering for an event, the event date must be included in the Order Notes or Item Notes section of the Shopping Cart (be sure to click "Update Cart").  Your order will be scheduled for shipment to arrive approximately 2-3 days prior to the event date listed on the order.  This allows plenty of time to repackage the apples and attach any necessary ribbon, name tags, etc.  Due to the perishability of the caramel apples, we cannot and will not schedule the apples to arrive a full week before the event.  We determine the best ship date for your order based on your location and event date.  An email will be sent with your event date, ship date and arrival date once your order has been scheduled for shipment.

If a Caramel Apple order is placed after the Ordering Deadline and must be canceled because the order will not arrive in time, a Cancellation Fee will be subtracted from the refund amount.

When should I place my Bulk Caramel or Caramel Apple Supply/Kit order?
When ordering bulk caramel or caramel apple kits for an event, keep in mind that we need a minimum of 8 business days to be able to ship the product in time.  If you need the products for a specific event date, please include that information in the Order Notes.  When placing an order at 8 business days or less, you must call BEFORE you place the order to see if we have the ability to ship in time for your event.

What exactly is your crunch topping?
The Daffy Apple crunch topping is a sweet corn-cereal based topping.  It’s our secret topping that has had people buying our caramel apples for over 50 years!  It does not contain nuts, but the caramel apples are all produced in the same facility which also handles Peanuts and Tree Nuts. The topping has a chewy crunch texture.

What is Daffy Apple Red Candy Caramel?
Daffy Apple Red Candy Caramel is a sweet caramel that is soft at room temperature. It is NOT a hard candy coating nor is it a cinnamon flavor.  It tastes very similar to our traditional caramel, just a little bit sweeter.

Does Daffy Apple sell a plain caramel apple?
We do not sell a plain caramel apple because our caramel is soft at room temperature – easy to chew, but a mess in packaging!  Caramel sticks to all kinds of packaging, so we always make our caramel apples with a topping.

Can I buy a Daffy Apple Caramel Apple Kit and make a plain caramel apple?
Yes.  Daffy Apple Caramel Apple Kits come with a container of Daffy Apple caramel, caramel apple sticks, and one topping.  We also sell Daffy Apple Caramel, Daffy Apple Red Candy Caramel, and caramel apple sticks separately if you would like to use your own selection of toppings.  We still would not recommend wrapping plain caramel apples in cellophane or any other tight wrapper.  How to Make a Daffy Apple Caramel Apple

How long do the caramel apples stay fresh?  Do the caramel apples need to be refrigerated?
Daffy Apple Caramel Apples have a 2-week shelf life or a little longer if they are refrigerated.  We recommend refrigerating the caramel apples upon arrival to maximize freshness and the shelf life, although it is not absolutely necessary.  The apples are best kept out of direct-sunlight and in a cool, non-humid space.  Daffy Apple caramel apples should not be frozen.  The "Best By" date should be printed on the package or the case.  If not, remember that the apples are made to order and to deduct the transit-time from the 2-week shelf life.

Are Daffy Apple caramel apples gluten-free?
Unfortunately, Daffy Apple caramel and red candy caramel is not gluten-free.  Daffy Apple caramel contains the following allergens: wheat, milk and soy.

Are Daffy Apple caramel apples kosher?
Although certain ingredients used in Daffy Apple caramel are kosher, the finished Daffy Apple caramel and red candy caramel is not kosher.

Can Daffy Apple guarantee that my caramel apple order will arrive on a certain date?
If ordering caramel apples for an event, the event date must be included in the Order Notes or Item Notes section of the Shopping Cart (be sure to click "Update Cart").  Your order will be scheduled for shipment to arrive approximately 3 days prior to the event date listed on the order.  When your order has been scheduled for shipment, you will receive an email confirmation with the anticipated arrival date.  This allows plenty of time to repackage the apples and attach any necessary ribbon, name tags, etc.  Due to the perishability of the caramel apples, we cannot and will not schedule the apples to arrive a full week before the event.  We determine the best ship date for your order based on your location and event date.  Daffy Apple uses the UPS guaranteed transit-times to schedule orders for shipment.  UPS is extremely reliable, however, there are conditions that may delay shipment and are not covered under the UPS guarantee (natural disasters, extreme weather, national emergencies, etc).  Please read the Daffy Apple Shipping Information page for the most detailed information.

How many caramel apples can I make using the bulk caramel containers?
Please keep in mind these numbers are not applicable if using large gourmet apples.  Daffy Apple uses apples that have a net weight of 3 oz. and are generally about 2¼ to 2½ inches in diameter.  The bagged apples in the produce section of your grocery store are generally about this size.

       20 oz. tub – makes about 15 apples.
       6.5 lb. container – makes 50 apples
       22 lb. bucket – makes 200 apples
       5 gallon bucket (58 lbs) – makes 500 to 600 apples

Can you give me a price quote over the phone?
Please use the online store to get a price quote.
      - Create an account.  Be sure to log-in to your account before you add items to your Shopping Cart.
      - Select the category from which you would like to order (“Caramel Apples”, “Wedding Favors”, etc.) The categories are located in the red rectangle on the left-hand side of the page under "Buy Online".
      - All of the items for that category will be shown at the bottom of the page.  Click on the item you are interested in for the pricing and quantities available. 
      - Select the products you would like to order and add them to your Shopping Cart.
      - When you are finished, click on your Shopping Cart (top right-hand corner) and select “Checkout Now”.  The Shipping and Handling cost is shown in the "Shipping Method" box.  When the shipping is selected, the Order Total will be updated on the right-hand side of the screen in the "Shopping Cart" box.

I would like to try Daffy Apple caramel apples before I place a large order.  Can I get a sample?
Unfortunately, we are unable to ship a free sample.  However, we do have two sample packs available for purchase:  Traditional Caramel Apple Sample Pack or Gourmet Caramel Apple Sample Pack.  Both sample packs contain a total of 6 apples.

What does the single-pack/3-pack look like?
Daffy Apple caramel apples are packaged in either a clam-shell single-pack container or coffin-style 3-pack container.  If the caramel apples will be repackaged for an event, we recommend ordering the 3-pack apples.

I’m ordering multiple cases, can I get a discount?
Daffy Apple is already able to discount the product by selling the caramel apples in cases of 24.  The 24-ct. case price is the bulk or discounted price. If you are ordering 30 or more 24-ct. cases (720+ apples), please contact us about alternative shipping methods before placing your order.

I didn't order enough! Can I add to my order?
The best way to add to your order is to place a second order online.  Be sure to include your original order number in the Order Notes along with a note asking to combine the two orders.

Can I reduce my order?
Please contact us as soon as possible if you would like to reduce your order.  Unfortunately, if your order has already been produced or shipped, we will not be able to reduce your order.  We must charge a 4.5% Reduction Fee for any order reductions after the credit card has been authorized.  This is equal to the transaction fees incurred by us from the credit card processing companies and are based on order size and per transaction cost.  Order Reduction Information

What is Daffy Apple's return policy?
Daffy Apple does not accept any returns for perishable products (all food products).  Returns must be approved by a Daffy Apple representative before the item is shipped back.  A refund will NOT be issued if the return was not approved first.  No exceptions.  Shipping will not be refunded.  All of our return policy information can be found here: Daffy Apple Return Policy.

How are Daffy Apple products shipped?
Daffy Apple products are shipped via UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail.  UPS has a stated delivery schedule of 2-6 business days, depending on the zone, from Denver, CO.  All of our shipping information can be found here: Shipping Information.

I'm trying to create an account and my state (Florida/Arizona/Hawaii/Alaska) is not listed.  What do I do?
Unfortunately, Daffy Apple cannot ship caramel apples to Florida, Arizona, Hawaii, or Alaska.  Because of this, these states are not available on the website.  If your billing address is in any of these states, but you will have the caramel apples shipped elsewhere, please call Daffy Apple as your order will need to be placed over the phone.  If you are located in one of these states and would like to order bulk caramel, caramel corn, or caramel apple supplies, your order will also need to be placed over the phone.  Please let the Daffy Apple representative know right away that you need to place an order over the phone because of your FL, AZ, HI, or AK address.

How much does shipping cost?
Shipping and Handling is $15.25 per case of 24 apples and $12.00 per case of 12 apples.  The final cost of a traditional Caramel Apple with Crunch, delivered to your door, is approximately $1.75 per apple (full case - 24 apples) or $2.25 per apple (1/2 case - 12 apples).

 Do you ship to Canada?
Unfortunately, Daffy Apple is unable to ship any products internationally, to P.O. boxes, to the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Guam, Military (A.P.O & F.P.O) and Canada.

Can I pay with my American Express card?
Yes! However, your order must be placed through the Google Checkout option. Click on the Google Checkout button at the top of the Shopping Cart screen.
I placed an order and now have multiple charges on my credit card.  Why did I get charged more than once?
This generally happens when an error occured while placing your order.  Your credit card was authorized to make the purchase, but your order did not go through due to the error (incorrect billing address, incomplete information, etc.).  These transactions are pending charges and have been subtracted from your Available Credit, but have not yet been added to your Current Balance.  If the extra charges are pending charges, they will be canceled by your bank within 3-5 business days.  Please contact us if the charges are not pending charges or are not canceled within 3-5 business days.

Attention All Customers:  Your credit card will be charged at the time the order is placed.  If an event date is listed in the Order Notes section of the shopping cart, the order will be shipped according to that date.  If no date is listed, the order will be shipped within 5 business days.

Attention FL, AZ, HI and AK Customers:  Unfortunately, we are unable to ship our caramel and red candy caramel apples to Florida, Arizona, Hawaii or Alaska.  If you would like to place an order for caramel corn, bulk caramel, or a caramel apple kit, your order will need to be placed over the phone.  If you have a FL, AZ, HI, or AK billing address, but the order will be shipped to a different state, your order will also need to be placed over the phone.  Orders shipped to HI and AK may take between 10-15 business days up to 6 weeks to be delivered.
