Caramel Apples are heat and humidity sensitive. It is not recommended that they are
shipped to a location where temperatures are above 85ºF. If a caramel
apple order is placed online with a ship to location where temperatures
are above 85ºF and must be canceled due to the heat, a 4.5% Cancellation
Fee will be subtracted from the refund amount.
If
a Caramel Apple order is placed after the deadline listed and must be canceled
because the order will not arrive in time, a
Cancellation Fee will be subtracted from the refund amount.
When ordering
for an event, the event date
must be included in the Order Notes or
Item Notes section of the Shopping Cart - be sure to "Update Cart"! Orders will be scheduled for
shipment to arrive about 2-3 days in advance using this date (ex. an order
for a Saturday event will be scheduled to arrive on the Wednesday or Thursday
prior). Due to the perishability of the caramel apples, we
cannot and will not schedule
the apples to arrive a full week before the event. We determine the
best ship date for your order based on your location and event date.
An email will be sent with the ship and anticipated arrival dates once your order has been scheduled for shipment.
*Events on September 21, 22, or 23rd: Daffy Apple will make a decision after Labor Day weekend and asks that customers wanting to order for the weekend of September 22nd call us at that time. If we do start shipping early, you would receive your shipment 1-3 days before the event date. Unfortunately, we are unable to take your order until that time. If the apples would be shipped to the southern half of the US, any location over 85ºF, or to VT, CT, RI, MA, NH or ME, we definitely will not be able to ship apples to you for that date. If
a Caramel Apple order is placed for this weekend without consent from Daffy Apple and must be canceled
because the order will not arrive in time, a
Cancellation Fee will be subtracted from the refund amount.
**Cannot ship due to Thanksgiving holiday
If Daffy Apple is unable to ship you the finished caramel apples to you, one option is to purchase one of the
Daffy Apple Caramel Apple Kits. The kits can be shipped year-round. With these kits, you buy your own apples separately and make the finished caramel apples in your kitchen. It is really quite easy to do, especially if you have a friend or two to help. Daffy Apple also has a video that shows you how to make them. (
How to Make a Daffy Apple Caramel Apple - YouTube) You may also purchase the
bulk caramel and
sticks separately if you would like to use your own selection of toppings. We do not recommend placing a plain caramel apple in any sort of packaging.
